The Space Bees are giant bees that can survive in space and produce large amounts of space honey which they value very much. They were responsible for the last Planet Express crew's death. According to an advert, they — along with other creatures that have "space" in front of their name — cannot participate in the Slurm Factory contest.

- The episode "The Sting" says space bees killed the past Planet Express crew but in the pilot it is implied that Space Wasps killed them. To be fair however, some people in western culture do erroneously put wasps and bees under the same label.
